While accommodations are basic, the cleanliness and comfort of the shared spaces stood out, reflecting the modern yet homely atmosphere I'd hoped for. The availability of a well-equipped shared kitchen was a delightful bonus, perfect for whipping up a quick meal after a long day of capturing Iceland's breathtaking landscapes. Despite being centrally located, I felt safe and welcomed throughout my stay. For anyone seeking an affordable and friendly base in Reykjavik, I would wholeheartedly recommend 101 Guesthouse. There's simply no better way to soak in the local culture before setting off to explore the natural wonders that await just beyond the city.
